About Evonne
My interest in art has been a lifelong fascination. I have never known life without art. I have enjoyed painting and sketching since I was a child. My artistic talent was nurtured by my father who encouraged me to acquire and education in the arts.
I have created art in many different mediums, but my favorite is watercolor. Although painting with watercolor is a challenge, I am excited by the many techniques that offer a variety of newness to my art. My home studio is located in a forested area that is ever-changing with the seasons. Although I paint some from photos that I have taken, I prefer to paint and sketch in beautiful locations and from still life and models
My paintings are filled with light and color. Although art speaks to each person differently, I feel my choices of subjects and colors create cheerful and soothing impressions that are friendly and comfortable to view.
I continually take classes from other professionals to further my art education. I now teach watercolor painting on a regular basis plus give workshops in different parts of the country as well. I enjoy exhibiting my art and will continue to enter juried shows and competitions as well as exhibit paintings in galleries throughout the country. I have always dreamed of making my living as an artist. Now I am living that dream and enjoying every minute of it.
